ILM Level 3 Certificate for First Line Management Instructor Led
The ILM Level 3 Certificate in First Line Management aims to give practising or potential first line managers the foundation for their formal development in this role. The qualification does this by developing basic management skills and assisting participants in gaining the basic knowledge required by a manager for dealing with instances such as change in the workplace.
Who should attend?
Delegates of the ILM Level 3 in First Line Management will normally be practising or aspiring First Line Managers. This qualification builds on the ILM Level 3 Award in First Line Management, and broadens the skills and knowledge in a flexible and practical way. Candidates are not required to undertake the Award as a pre-requisite and may join Certificate programmes directly.
There are no formal entry requirements, but participants will:
· Have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme
Preferably have Level 2 Key Skills Literacy and Numeracy or equivalent.
The course will enable delegates to gain an understanding in:
· How to describe a problem, its nature, scope and impact · Change in the workplace · The forces for change in the workplace · How to use effective time management to prioritise and achieve objectives
Additional learning is dependent on unit choice. |

Course Overview
Duration
Each chosen unit encompasses a full day of delivered topic plus a half day workshop follow up. To be conducted over a time schedule of 12-18mths.
Structure
2 hour induction 4 hours tutorial Credit value of 20 to be made up of 4 mandatory units:
· Solving problems and making decisions (2 credits) · Understanding change in the workplace (2 credits) · Planning change in the workplace (2 credits) · Achieving objectives through time management (1 credit)

Assessment
Mandatory units:
· Work based assessment 1200 -2000 words · Change management report 2000-3000 words
Each chosen unit will be assessment by; reflective review, oral briefings, case study, short answer questions or work based assignments.
50% pass mark is required for each unit Full support is provided within the workshops to help guide delegates through the assessment process.
